In “Six Logo’s around the carpet” a hand woven carpet with tassels by Peter Nagy played a central role. The title of this black and white fabric is ‘Desease and Decoration’. It depicts six microscopic enlarged Aids-virus pictures used as a decoration for a carpet that was produced and distributed by Equator Productions in Brussels in Belgium. JCJ Vanderheyden has produced various mirrors, most of the time for the sake of an exhibition in order to play with repetition through mirroring. This one comes with two yellow painted glass laths, i.e. one on the lower side and one on the right side. A method he uses on the edges of his paintings as well. The horizontal and vertical painted laths reappear in the reflection of the mirror.

On behalf of his solo exhibition “Simultaneous” in Galerie van Gelder in Amsterdam JCJ Vanderheyden made this special photo-with-object edition. On top of the studio photo Vanderheyden mounted a tiny painting on wood re-staging the realistic situation in his studio in the right proportion, although factually on a much smaller scale. A copy of this very small edition is also in the collection of Centraal Museum in Utrecht.
