About eight years ago, Kimball Gunnar Holth stopped making abstract expressionist paintings. He limited himself to a stage with a tarpaulin that house painters and construction workers use. In his studio he made film recordings of work that he made but that never got a final version.
He is often asked why he no longer makes those beautiful paintings: ‘Still not painting ??’. In line with this, he had a pen engraved with this question.
