For the show <i>’Een Goed in de Weg staande Tafel'</i>(2001) in Galerie van Gelder curator and artist Jack Jaeger placed a wooden zigzagging table of 11 meters long like on a market in the open air. This table filled the gallery space completely. The exhibition ‘A table standing perfectly in the way’ combined objects, photos, printed matter, CD’s and video’s, based on a concept of Jack Jaeger. Tom Friedman was among others invited to participate on this table and he proposed to have a large handmade wooden book display of more than one meter wide put on it for his Dollar Bill print he made in 1999. Instead of hanging the print in a frame on a wall. It is a print of a collage of thirty six one dollar bank notes, cut into tiny square centimeters, and again brought back to one big and visually trembling bank note on which George Washington is showing many noses.
