Takako Saito performed “Ho. ho. he. he…… Pooo…” at Galerie van Gelder on 28th of November 2015. In the front room solo exhibition ‘The Rotating Painting Show’ of Elvire Bonduelle opened that same afternoon, while “Blue Sky Wall” was shown in the back room AP.

Added information:
in the nineties, during a long period of years discussions were held about whether the UK should leave the EU or not. The Independent published an adapted image of ‘Event’ on Wednesday 13 March 1996 with a glued on comment saying: ‘Prime Minister, how do you feel about a referendum? ….. with apologies to the artist’. The artist was never informed about this second hand use of his photo work he made in 1975.

This group of cards and announcements includes a photo stat with a hand written text in which Marlene Dumas writes about her removal to a boat called ‘Casa Cara’ moored in Amstel river. With a witty wordplay on a “removal announcement” she simultaneously refers to a biological removal of her newly born daughter into the outer world.

John M Armleder was invited to make an etching for publishing house Edition Franz Mäder Galerie, Basel. In stead of making a dry needle etching on copper plate he asked Mäder to make 25 blank plate prints on etching paper. On each of these Armleder drew unique spirograph drawings. He numbered them as if it concerned an edition.
At a certain point, Armleder used a spirograph by leaving the utensil uncontrolled run over the paper creating a most surprising juggler’s lightness and evocativeness. He once stated that for him in the end every time he has to think about how to make an art piece that is no more than a performance. Here it is, definitively, with it’s etching-like dancing appearance.
