David Horvitz’s self-portrait with his head in his hands, ocean waves crashing in the background, was initially uploaded by him to the Wikimedia Commons, and placed on various Wikipedia pages. Mood Disorder documents the appropriation of David Horvitz’s photograph across the internet. The image began to circulate more intensely, appearing on over a hundred websites as a “stock” photo to illustrate articles on a wide range of mental health and wellness issues.
This artist’s book is still available at various selling venues.

John M Armleder is known for leaving things as they come. While they come the objects of his choice seem to help him out of what to do with them. Paintings are poured over, debris come together and form obviously a natural sculpture.
For this edition the form, presence and sparkling whiteness helped the artist to decide to leave it all alone as it is and to add merely a title to the set of objects: “White Plate”. KvG

CHRISTOPH BUECHEL, Free Manifesta, 2002
A4
high quality digital print from screen shot
published by eBay / freemanifesta
inv.ChrB 000-pr
After being invited to Manifesta 4, Christoph Büchel offered his participation rights to the highest bidder on eBay who purchased this eventually for $15,099.
On 20th of March 2002 I contacted Christoph Buechel to have a solo exhibition in my gallery in Amsterdam. He proposed to become the highest bidder of his eBay offer. Being the highest bidder Galerie van Gelder would have had a solo exhibition of Christoph Buechel at Manifesta 4 in Frankfurt, Germany. Unfortunately the highest bid was a bit too high for the gallery’s financial standards.
