Horn is best known for introducing the personal to minimalist sculpture. Horn’s photographs function somewhere between empirical record and various kinds of repetition of that record. For her, the camera is more than simply a means of transcribing the surface detail and texture of things.

This DVD is an unique combination of art and contemporary music. For this John Armleder, accompanied by Sylvie Fleury, filmed hot mud pools in Australia. The choreographer Hans van Manen proposed to have the bubbling mud sound covered by the shuffling sound of a ballet danser executing one of his dance pieces.
Each DVD of this Loud & Clear series is provided with a menu for single play and loop play. Therefore the film can also be played as a genuine piece of art on its own.

This is a large white paper shopping bag with a text work from March 31, 1966.
Dan Graham signed 29 copies for Art Metropole. Nevertheless it is remarkable that this 1960’s text has been authorized again by his hand written signature on this small edition. Conceptual art created space for gigantic encompassing ideas compressed into a little text. Here a characteristic example of Conceptual art zooms in from macro to micro.

John Bock’s stage-like walk-in sculptures constructed from fabrics and junk form the backdrop for his lavish semi-theatrical and semi-improvised performances. Referencing everything from rural life to various half-baked philosophies to the Vienna Actionists, a key influence on Bock, Bock’s performances blend topic fragments from the sciences, arts and the everyday into a volatile and enthralling mixture. The focus here is on the complex relationships between art and the social and between the social and the individual. Laid out in striking collage fashion. John Bock as Gribbohm traces 12 of Bock’s “lectures”, as he terms his performances, with copious illustrations and text by this artist who attempts to make sense of this world by creating one of his own devising.

Herbert Zangs made these series of monotypes for lenders and assistants of his exhibition. These were added to the first 50 copies of the accompanying signed catalogue published on behalf of his exhibition at the Kunstverein in Jena, Germany in 2001. A small part of the edition is signed with ‘ZANGS’ integrated in the image, the largest part of the edition has initials or just the letter ‘Z’ as shown here.
Some sources mention a series of no more than ca 20 monotypes.

‘Airmail from Venice’ is a series of prints coming from unexposed 4″ x 5″ negatives sent by airmail from Venice to Amsterdam in September 2000. I was on holidays in Venice for a week. Every day I sent a letter to my address in Amsterdam where I used to live at the time.
Each negative had an exposure time of three to four days. After the delivery the result of the mailing by air came out when the
prints were developed in the dark room. says Myne Søe-Pedersen.
